Day 12: I grew up in a beautiful little bump in the road in Tennessee called Sawdust. City-boy Tim LOVES to tell people this. In Sawdust the pace was slow and the sky stretched wide. Smells of dirt, hay bales, and green grass fill my mind when I think about it.⁣

Tim and I have spent most of our marriage in Miami and Atlanta. I loved those places, but it took a lot for me to get used to living in big cities. During our time in Ethiopia, I have often talked about how in some big ways, Ethiopia feels more like home to me than big cities in America do.
